Lee’s Summit West hosts the large ensemble portion of the MSHSAA Music Festival. The 2023 schedule is:
- March 20 & 21: Choir
- March 22: Orchestra
- March 23: Band
The LSWMP supplies hundreds of parent and student volunteer hours during the week of the Festival. Volunteers will assist with:
- Welcoming other schools and getting them to their warm up location
- Welcoming families and guests and getting them to the performance locations
- Running music to the judges
- Monitoring warm-up and performance areas
- Assisting with stage set-up
- Helping at the concession stand
- Whatever else is needed
